QAnon Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and her wingman, alleged sex-trafficker Matt Gaetz, are headlining their second “America First” rally in Arizona today as part of a nationwide tour to present Donald Trump as the “true” president.
We know they'll find support in a state controlled by insurrectionists like Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs -- just like they did in Florida, where thousands of Americans chanted “NO!” when asked if Joe Biden had rightfully won the election.
It's tempting to look the other way -- many Americans are, but we've seen how dangerous their fascist movement is. Trump's right-wing allies are throwing millions into tight races to help the GOP retake the House and Senate. They're spreading conspiracy theories about the 2020 election in battleground states like Arizona to sow even more distrust in our democracy. They're echoing Trump's hateful rhetoric in rallies nationwide.
Our country is at a turning point, and we can either sit back while right-wing extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz plunge us further into division or do everything we can to protect our democracy and elect leaders with a progressive vision that will uplift every community.
We choose the latter, but we have to be frank with you, Democratic giving has plummeted -- and we're worried our supporters won't be paying attention until it's too late to make a difference.
