John, Donald Trump’s Muslim ban was a national shame.

This racist, xenophobic policy separated families, prevented students from returning to their courses, left visas in limbo, and further intensified the existing prejudice Muslim Americans were already enduring.

And while President Biden has reversed the ban, no laws would stop a future President from enacting another discriminatory travel ban. But a new bill that’s passed in the House and has moved on to the Senate could change that.

The National Origin-Based Antidiscrimination for Nonimmigrants Act (NO BAN Act, H.R. 1333) will prohibit discrimination on the basis of religion while also limiting executive authority to issue future travel bans.

We have the chance to STOP future Presidents from implementing another Muslim ban or any other racist and discriminatory bans. Will you sign our petition to the Senate and tell them to pass the NO BAN Act now?

During the years of Muslim ban, thousands of families were intentionally and needlessly separated to fulfill Trump’s racist and cruel agenda.

And while President Biden did the right thing by overturning Trump’s ban, we can’t afford to have another President come into office and create another ban. We need the NO BAN Act to prevent this from ever happening again.
