National walking month

It's national walking month this May, so we've pulled together some fantastic resources [ [link removed] ] for some inspiration and to guide you on your adventure!

There's so much to discover around Nottingham by foot - don't let the weather deter you, it'll be a walk in the park??

Temporary towpath closure

New temporary steps are being installed on the canal towpath to the south of Great Northern Close. The work is due to be completed by the end of the day (Friday 21 May), and the towpath should be open and accessible this weekend.

These steps will ensure the route remains open following The Canal and River Trust and Nottingham City Council agreeing to temporarily close the permanent ramp to enable developer Conygar to carry out works on the first phase of the Island Quarter, which will include improved access steps at Great Northern Close.
