As it finally starts to feel like summer, all of us here on the left in Denver hope to see a return to the streets, and this weekend is off to a pretty good start with rallies at the capitol on Saturday and Sunday - find all the details at the end of this email.

June also means it's time for DSA chapter elections! We will be electing delegates to August's DSA National Convention from tomorrow, Saturday 5/22, through next Saturday 5/29. If you're currently a member, expect an email on Saturday with the details. And at our next business meeting on 6/12, we'll be electing a whole new Steering Committee! To nominate yourself for either or both, email [email protected] with a short statement on why you're running.

Don't forget—Chapter Steering Committee elections are coming up! If you're a member in good standing, send an email to [email protected] with a few sentences on why you'd like to run. Questions? You can also attend tonight's special Steering Committee session any time between 5 and 7 PM to talk with current Steering members about what the roles were like over the last year - check out #comm-steering on Slack for info on how to join.

• Co-Chairs: represent the chapter publicly and with national, set agendas and facilitate business, steering committee & organizing committee meetings
• Treasurer: manage chapter funds & financial reporting
• Secretary: organize meetings, take minutes and manage membership in Action Network
• Coordination Chair: help committees work together to organize events and programs
• Membership Chair: organize new member recruitment and onboarding efforts
• Fundraising Chair: publicize existing fundraising methods (like our monthly donations page), t-shirt drives, and in the near future, in-person events!
• Communications Chair: manage our social media pages, handle press contacts, and bottom-line this newsletter
