Hi John --
It's been a while since I've told you where ASPIRE is at, so I wanted to write and give you an update.
In Congress, we've made progress on ending this crisis of anti-AAPI hate crimes we've seen across the country. I'm proud to say that our anti-AAPI hate crime bill passed the House, the Senate, and was signed into law by President Biden just yesterday -- a major accomplishment in today's usually divided Congress. And nationwide, we've seen an increased awareness of the threat posed to the AAPI community.
But at the same time, we're facing major barriers to progress in other areas. Across the country, dangerous new hate-motivated Republicans are announcing their bids for office, and Republican state legislators are doing their best to help them by passing draconian voter suppression laws targeting voters of color.
One thing is still clear: Republicans are trying to rig the system so they can take back the congressional majorities. We can't let that happen -- because if it does, we can say goodbye to any progress for the next few years at least.
I've got some good news, though: ASPIRE is already hard at work looking to find and support diverse Democrats to run against these dangerous Republicans and build on our majorities in Congress. And your support is what makes it possible.
But with so much on the line and so many Republicans already announcing their candidacies, I have to ask: Can you chip in whatever you can to help us expand our efforts and hold on to our Democratic majorities? You can chip in here:

Thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me, and I look forward to the America that we can build together.
