People For Member,

Just months after a mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol
building, some far-right members of Congress are already attempting to
rewrite the history books. Republican Reps. Andrew Clyde (GA), Jody Hice
(GA), and Paul Gosar (AZ) have each attempted to downplay the violent
attacks that day, with Rep. Clyde likening the horrific events to “a
normal tourist visit.”

We cannot allow these far-right members of Congress to normalize the
violent behavior of white supremacists and other extremists!

resolution to censure these Far Right representatives! >>

As some of Trump’s most vocal right-wing apologists in Congress, it’s no
surprise these representatives are attempting to minimize the insurrection
and the potential roles they played in enabling the mob.

Rep. Paul Gosar just weeks ago was the keynote speaker at a white
nationalist conference and one of the most vocal proponents of overturning
the results of the election, who later sought a pardon from Trump to avoid
accountability for his role in the insurrection!

During a committee hearing Rep. Andrew Clyde claimed that calling the
violent events on January 6 an insurrection is “a bold face lie” – going
on to say “If you didn't know that TV footage was a video from January the
sixth, you would actually think it was a normal tourist visit…”

And Rep. Jody Hice – who is running to be Georgia’s next Secretary of
State (and has been proudly endorsed by Trump) so he can abuse his
authority to steal elections for Trump and Trump-like candidates –
outright denied that Trump played any role in inciting the violence from
his supporters, going on to say the supporters in the mob were the “real
victims” that day.

It’s clear that the Far Right has no intentions of turning their back on
Trump – even after he incited one of the most dangerous attacks to our
democracy in years – in fact, they’re doubling down.

[ [link removed] ]Urge the House to CENSURE these representatives for their denialism and
attempts to whitewash and legitimize the violent acts of destruction we
witnessed on January 6 >>

Thanks for all that you do,

Zach, People For the American Way
