Every Friday, Indivisible groups and activists, and our partners and
allies across the country join forces from 1:00 - 2:00 PM ET (10 am - 11
am PT) to get loud online and make it clear that it’s time for the Jim
Crow Filibuster to go. 

You can [ [link removed] ]click here to read our full resource on the filibuster, but in
short, it gives a minority of senators — Republican senators who represent
41 million fewer people than Senate Democrats — the power to prevent the
Congress we elected from passing critical legislation. With Republicans
across the country attacking the right to vote, our climate changing, and
hatred growing, we don’t have time to let Republicans stop our majority
from making meaningful change. It’s quite literally anti-democratic. 

Here’s what we need you to do to help end the filibuster: 

 1. Pick your favorite issue (Voting rights in the [ [link removed] ]For the People Act
or [ [link removed] ]Protecting Workers’ Rights or [ [link removed] ]DC statehood or [ [link removed] ]Unrigging
the Supreme Court or the [ [link removed] ]COVID Recovery Package are all good
options!) and call your senator to tell them you expect them to pass
it -- including abolishing the filibuster to get it done.
 2. [ [link removed] ]Check out this #FilibusterFriday digital toolkit and pick a few
ways to share your opposition to the filibuster around lunchtime
today. You can make a video, share on Facebook, tweet at your senator,
or [ [link removed] ]share our video on why the filibuster has got to go.
 3. [ [link removed] ]If you’re able, donate $3 to fund Indivisible Project, including
our work to end the filibuster. The costs for videos, websites and
call tools, not to mention newspaper and radio ads and staff time all
add up -- we’re spending over $700,000 fighting for democracy this
year alone! 

We hope you’ll join us today (Friday) from 1:00 to 2:00 pm ET to tell your
senators it’s time to protect the future of our democracy, not a
procedural relic from the past.
