States across the country are gearing up to draw new congressional maps, and in Florida, Republicans have full control of the redistricting process. Also, because of population growth, Florida is getting an additional congressional seat this year.
The GOP sees this scenario as a perfect opportunity for them. That’s why a heavy-hitter from the Trump administration has started a new group aimed at taking back the House through victories in Florida .

You may remember Florida being a big disappointment for Democrats on election night back in November. That was because Miami-Dade County swung more than 20 points in Trump’s favor compared to 2016 -- a shift driven primarily by certain portions of the Latinx community.
Even though we worked to register tens of thousands fo younger Latinxs who turned out to vote for Democrats, Republicans won over a larger proportion of Latinx voters through sustained investments and a sophisticated disinformation campaign. If we want to win those voters back, we can’t wait until a few weeks before Election Day. We need to start now .
