John,
As you know from my previous updates, the Montana Great Outdoors Project is one of our biggest yet. At 130,000 acres, the area is massive — about half the size of Grand Teton National Park. We have a unique chance to gain a major chunk of much-needed funding, but we need your immediate help to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Thanks to a special matching gift challenge, which will match all contributions dollar for dollar given to The Trust for Public Land before May 31, your gift will be doubled and make twice the impact. This means your tax-deductible contribution of $25 will be doubled to $50 … a donation of
$35 will add up to $70 … and a $50 donation will total $100.
We haven’t received a reply from you yet, and there’s no better time than right now to double your impact and make a generous gift toward this important effort and our strategic priorities.
The Trust for Public Land and our partners have secured the option to purchase — at a deep discount — 130,000 acres along 17 beautiful, crystal-blue lakes. This part of Montana has seen a startling 30% increase in residents since the beginning of the pandemic, as many people flee urban areas. Putting this beautiful place — an area about half the size of Grand Teton National Park — into a conservation easement will help save these lands from irreversible development for generations to come.
But to preserve this beautiful landmark … and public lands all across the country that are at risk of irreversible development … we need your immediate help.
John, your first gift to The Trust for Public Land today will greatly aid our efforts to reclaim, repair, and restore our public lands … we must make the most out of this special match opportunity to gain much-needed funding for our many efforts to save our nation’s unspoiled public lands and make the Montana Great Outdoors Project a reality.
The deadline of May 31 is fast-approaching, so I hope we can count on your support at this crucial moment.
Sincerely,
Kim Elliot
