John,
We need more elected officials in governor's mansions who stand unequivocally with working families and who represent the communities who elected them.
As a delegate in the Virginia General Assembly, Jennifer Carroll Foy was that leader, and the Working Families Party is endorsing her in the Virginia Governor's race! We couldn't be more proud to support her in her campaign to become the first woman to be elected governor of Virginia and the first Black woman to be elected governor in the entire United States.
Jennifer Carroll Foy is no stranger to tough fights, but she is going up against a crowded and competitive primary field on June 8. That is why the Working Families Party is going to be launching an all-out effort to help turn out the vote for Jennifer over the next three weeks.
Jennifer's campaign is powered by people — not corporate money — but she's running against well-funded opponents. Will you split a contribution of $5 or more between her campaign and WFP to help power our grassroots mobilization efforts?

Jennifer Carroll Foy ran for the House of Delegates to expand Medicaid, raise the minimum wage, increase teacher pay, and transform the criminal legal system. As a former public defender, she has seen firsthand the effects of racist policing and mass incarceration. As a delegate, she championed policies to advance economic and racial justice across Virginia, like banning chokeholds and cracking down on corrupt corporations.
WFP organizers and volunteers are launching an all-out effort to get out the vote for Jennifer Carroll Foy over the next three weeks because of her commitment to addressing the failures of our economic, educational, and criminal legal system. We've got big plans to send thousands of texts and make thousands of phone calls to Virginia voters in the final two weeks of this primary.
Jennifer has the momentum to win, but we need your help to ensure we have all the resources to reach as many voters as possible before the primary.
Running a COVID-safe, remote organizing program is expensive, but we know that every text and phone call gets us closer to electing a WFP champion to the governor's mansion. Will you split a contribution of $5 or more between Jennifer’s campaign and WFP today to help us reach more voters?
In solidarity,
The Working Families Party
P.S. With the Virginia Democratic primary on June 8, and early voting already underway, we need your help to get out the vote! Join the WFP Text Team next Tuesday, May 25 from 6-8pm to help us text voters and share why Jennifer is the best choice for governor.
