Over the past week, both Eric Swalwell and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have been verbally attacked in the Capitol building by right-wing GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and members of her staff. Incidents like these aren’t outliers — they are part of a disturbing trend:
Threats against members of Congress have gone up 107% since last year.
Following the insurrection, Democratic Members like Eric Swalwell have had to endure threats against their safety on a regular basis, and it’s all thanks to Republicans who have allowed extremism to poison their party.
