Elaine’s new bill is a direct response to the ransomware attack on the Colonial Pipeline that forced the company to shut down the largest refined gas pipeline in the country for days -- resulting in long lines and fuel shortages at gas stations across Hampton Roads.

The Pipeline Security Act would strengthen the Department of Homeland Security’s ability to safeguard our pipelines from terrorist attacks, cyber attacks, and other nefarious efforts.
