Dear John,

We have less than 40 days to pass Oregon’s 100% Clean Energy for All Act (House Bill 2021). That’s not a lot of time to get our lawmakers to act, and we can’t miss this opportunity. That’s why OLCV is hosting a virtual phone bank at 5:30pm on Thursday, June 3rd, to help ensure passage of this incredibly important climate justice bill. I will be there! Will you join me?

RSVP Here for the OLCV Virtual Phone Bank for 100% Clean Energy!
When: Thursday, June 3rd, from 5:30pm to 8pm
Where: Virtual via Zoom!

Passing the 100% Clean Energy for All Act would mean big things for our state. Our electricity would be powered by 100% emissions-free sources, like wind and solar, by 2040 at the latest. Utilities would have major incentives for prioritizing in-state wind, solar, microgrids, and battery storage projects, all of which will create local jobs and make our grid more resilient in the face of extreme weather. Our state would be taking steps to right the wrongs of past environmental injustices by maximizing economic opportunities to environmental justice communities, meaning rural and low-income communities, Black people, Indigenous people, and other people of color, and Tribal Nations. We would be creating good jobs with strong labor standards for new projects, including prevailing wage and apprenticeship opportunities.

For all of these reasons and more, we need lawmakers to act now and pass House Bill 2021 — 100% Clean Energy for All Act. Please join us on June 3rd at 5:30pm to make calls and ensure Oregon doesn’t miss this opportunity.

Together, we'll be calling constituents in key legislative districts to ask them to get involved in the campaign by contacting their lawmaker. This is a great opportunity to roll up your sleeves and help us win the Oregon Clean Energy Opportunity Campaign to pass justice-centered energy policy this legislative session. Even if you've never phonebanked before or are feeling rusty, we'll start off with a training on how to phonebank and will provide talking points on the bills.

Let’s get our power to work for our communities and our climate future, not for corporations who avoid protecting our families and environment.

Thank you for your support!
