John,
On Monday, the Supreme Court announced that it will hear Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization — a challenge to the 15-week abortion ban passed in Mississippi in 2018.
The ban, which has been repeatedly struck down by the lower courts, is blatantly unconstitutional. But this case is the reason Republican lawmakers resorted to lies and bullying to install anti-choice extremists Brett Kavanaugh, Amy Coney Barrett, and Neil Gorsuch on the Court. This case is the opportunity the anti-choice movement has been waiting decades for to strike a devastating blow to our fundamental freedoms.
This is a defining moment in the ongoing fight for reproductive freedom — and together, we must rise to meet it. We have no other option. Will you join us, John?

The anti-choice movement has been anticipating this day for decades. They see the end of Roe v. Wade in sight, and they've been preparing accordingly: The volume of anti-choice bans and restrictions passed in 2021 so far surpasses anything we've ever seen. Eleven states already have in place laws that would immediately ban abortion if Roe is overturned.
But John, we've been preparing for this day, too. We've been supporting reproductive freedom champions up and down the ballot who will fight to protect our rights. We've been working directly with NARAL members to combat anti-choice disinformation online and in communities like yours.
And right now, we're about to make a major push in support of the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) — a bill that would protect the right to abortion throughout the United States, regardless of what happens with Roe.
This is not the end of our fight — it's only the beginning. Pitch in with an emergency gift of just $5 or more right now and help power our urgent work for reproductive freedom. [[link removed]]
Anti-choice extremists want us to believe this is the beginning of the end of abortion care in the United States. It's not. Roe v. Wade holds great legal and cultural importance in our country — but it's not the only way to protect reproductive freedom. And although Roe still stands for now, the reality is that its promises have long gone unfulfilled for many. No matter what happens with this case, we will continue to work to ensure that every body has the freedom to make their own choices about their body, their family, and their life.
