John,

Maya Wiley is surging in the New York City Mayor's race.

With endorsements from SEIU 1199, one of the most powerful unions in New
York, the Working Families Party, a critical progressive ally in NY and
nationwide, and prominent NY Members of Congress including Hakeem
Jeffries, Yvette Clarke and Nydia Velázquez, Maya has momentum on her side
in a crowded primary race that's is only one month away.

DFA members have been supporting Maya with money, people, media, and
direct strategic support since the beginning, but now it's time to take it
up one more notch.

Get Out The Vote work begins now! If we're going to mobilize progressive
voters, expand the electorate to include Black and brown voters typically
left behind by campaigns, and drive real turn out on Election Day, then we
need to come through today with the financial support to get it done. Rush
a donation to Maya Wiley and DFA's campaigns to win right now!

A true progressive, Maya will work to rebuild New York City out from the
impact of the pandemic that devastated the local economy and the lives of
so many working families.

Maya will implement her New Deal New York plan investing city dollars into
communities and neighborhoods -- addressing the City’s critical
infrastructure needs through investments that also put City residents back
to work and stimulate the economy. Her New Deal New York plan will create
up to 100,000 new jobs for New Yorkers.

Maya will fight for the most comprehensive and substantial police reforms
ever proposed by a major candidate for NY Mayor. It is a sweeping move
forward in policing, crime prevention, and police-community relationships.
She knows that everyone has a right to be free from criminal violence,
especially at the hands of the police.

Her Universal Community Care plan would rebuild economic growth in sectors
dominated by people of color, especially women. It ensures these new jobs
are good jobs, addresses the crisis of affordable childcare and eldercare,
and fights for fair wages and protections for workers throughout the care
economy.

That's just a few highlights of what Maya's fighting for and what's at
stake for the future of New York. Now we have to Get Out The Vote. Please
contribute what you can immediately to fuel DFA and Maya's campaign to
win.

Earlier this year, DFA members elected the first Black woman Mayor of St.
Louis in Missouri breaking through a critical barrier and bringing a
desperately needed new perspective to city leadership.

Now, we're one month away from doing it again, this time in one of the
biggest cities in America. Let's get it done.

Thank you for everything you're doing to elect the first woman to be Mayor
of New York City.
