A federal judge recently ruled against the CDC’s eviction moratorium — a
key policy that would allow renters to stay in their homes and avoid
housing insecurity amid growing unemployment and economic uncertainty.
While the Biden administration is appealing the judge’s ruling, we need to
keep up the fight at every level. Safe, affordable housing is a
fundamental human right and evicting families during a pandemic is not
just cruel, it’s immoral.
The COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated an already rampant housing
crisis. A crisis that is only magnified for low-income communities and
communities of color, who are living in the aftermath of discriminatory
policies like redlining. That’s why Ayanna advocated for the eviction
moratorium in the first place.

a $3 contribution
today today to help Ayanna keep fighting for policies that invest in our
communities and hold the federal government accountable for their
divestment in public housing?

The housing crisis is intergenerational and intersectional – from children
who develop chronic health conditions as a result of unsafe conditions, to
families who are unable to build wealth by purchasing a home, to seniors
who are unable to age in place because they can no longer afford to live
in their homes.

fighting for housing justice — can you chip in now?
Together, we will guarantee housing as a right for all.
Thank you,
The A-Team
