When Senate Republicans rushed to confirm anti-choice Justice Amy Coney Barrett, many of us feared what an anti-choice majority would mean for reproductive rights.

We were right to be afraid, John.

This week, news broke that the Supreme Court of the United States will be hearing a case challenging a Mississippi abortion law. This could be the anti-choice majority's chance to overturn both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

This is the gravest threat to abortion care in generations. No laws or extremist politicians should be allowed to stand between a person and their doctor, so I need you to take action with me today:

I am proud of my 40 year legacy of standing up for women's rights. All women -- no matter how much money they make, the color of their skin, who they love, how they identify, or what their unique health care needs are -- should have access to affordable and comprehensive health care.

Over 25 million women would be at risk of losing access to reproductive health care if the Supreme Court overturns Roe. Of those 25 million women:

• more than 4.3 million of them are Hispanic or Latino;
• nearly 3.5 million of them are Black or African American;
• more than 800,000 are Asian; and
• nearly 300,000 are American Indian or Alaska Native.

This is not only a women's issue -- reproductive freedom is a racial justice and economic issue. I'm fighting back with my Democratic colleagues in the House to make sure we can protect access to reproductive health care for generations to come.

This latest attack is a reminder of why we need to hold onto our Democratic majorities in the House and Senate to defend every woman's right to reproductive care. If you're with us in the work to defend abortion access, add your name now » [link removed]
