The truth may not matter to Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, but it matters to Police Officer Michael Fanone -- who was beaten and shocked with a Taser by the mob who stormed the US Capitol on Jan. 6. Here is an excerpt from a letter he wrote to elected officials:
“I struggle daily with the emotional anxiety of having survived such a traumatic event but I also struggle with the anxiety of hearing those who continue to downplay the events.”
Michael Fanone suffered a mild heart attack that day, and yet it is the trauma and constant denial from elected officials that have made his recovery even more difficult.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis's support of the Big Lie did not only help bring this on, but she is using her office to stand directly in the way of Officer Fanone getting the justice and closure that he deserves.
Nicole only supports law enforcement when it’s to her benefit, and she will quickly abandon our police officers to keep the support of the radical right-wing. And we MUST call her out.
