Bernie’s introducing a Senate version of Alexandria and Rashida’s resolution to stop a weapons sale to Israel.

"At a moment when U.S.-made bombs are devastating Gaza and killing women and children, we cannot simply let another huge arms sale go through without even a Congressional debate.” -Senator Bernie Sanders, May 20, 2021

John,

Support is building to stop a $735 million weapons sale to Israel. Yesterday, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rashida Tlaib gathered support for a House resolution to stop this sale to the far-right Israeli government as they bomb and displace so many Palestinian families.

Today, Senator Bernie Sanders is introducing the Senate version of this urgent resolution. Even though support is growing, we still need many more members of Congress to sign on to this measure.

A massive show of support from folks like you to stop U.S. financial support of atrocities against the Palestinian people can show Congress that the people want this resolution to pass. Can you take just a minute and add your name in support of Bernie, AOC, and Rashida’s measures to stop this weapons sale to Israel?

We must be clear about the U.S. government’s role in enabling the continued occupation of the Palestinian people. U.S. military aid should not be going toward violating human rights, displacing Palestinian families, and undermining both Israelis and Palestinians’ long-term safety and security.

The Israeli government will continue to feel no incentive to end the occupation of the Palestinian people as long as American taxpayers provide the right-wing government with a blank check of military aid and unconditional arms sales.

Join us today in building unprecedented support for a stop to this weapons sale to Israel.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats

P.S. After you sign on, please call your representative and your senators, and urge them to support the resolution!
