NRA launches $2 million campaign

to oppose Biden gun-control agenda

Imagine for a moment: You work in a large company with many different departments. All the moving pieces must work together to succeed. But, departments have no direction and no management, because the company hasn’t had a leader in six years. Without leadership, you are doomed to fail.

Now imagine this “company” is the primary governmental agency in charge of enforcing our gun laws and holding the gun industry accountable. That’s right, friend. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has not had a confirmed director since 2015 and if we want to address our nation’s deadly epidemic of gun violence, it is critical that this position is filled.

Thankfully, President Biden knows this is of the utmost importance. It’s why he nominated David Chipman to serve as the Director of the ATF. As a father, public servant, gun owner, decorated law enforcement professional, and gun safety expert, he has spent his life serving the public, combating violent crime, and striving to make our communities safer every day. David Chipman knows exactly what needs to be done to ensure our laws are implemented, upheld, and enforced – it’s exactly why the NRA is pouring $2 million dollars into a campaign against his nomination.

We urgently need your help: The NRA will keep spending millions to fight this nomination and it’s up to us to be even more relentless. The ATF must be able to enforce our gun laws and hold the gun industry accountable – but first they need a strong leader. We need to show a groundswell of support behind Chipman’s nomination and finally confirm a director to the ATF: Please, John, will you add your name and urge the Senate to confirm David Chipman now?

We cannot allow the ATF to go without a leader any longer – American lives hang in the balance – and we must #ConfirmChipman NOW!
