I wanted to make sure you had a chance to connect with Tracey. We are so lucky to have her on the Groundwork team, and we are already feeling the impact of her experience and expertise on our overall strategy.
We are meeting this weekend to finalize some key details of our national plan so I wanted to reach out quickly to see if you had a chance to donate yet.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’m Tracey Lewis, and I’m joining the Groundwork team as a senior advisor.
In 2020 I spent my third cycle in Georgia, leading the state for the Biden-Harris campaign and continuing to organize there through the Senate runoffs. You may have seen me earlier this year, when I joined Joe for a virtual event hosted by Groundwork about grassroots organizing.
I’ve been an organizer for more than 15 years. I started out as a volunteer in Massachusetts and was inspired by people organizing in their own communities. Now, I have been everywhere from New Hampshire to Mississippi to South Dakota and a lot of places in between.
From my Georgia experience and beyond, I can tell you that investing in organizing programs can make a difference.
The money we have in the bank by the end of this week and over the coming months will have a direct impact on the size and scope of our national efforts. That’s why I’m personally reaching out to see if you can chip in to Groundwork now. [[link removed]]
Seven years ago, when I first went to Georgia, we weren’t able to turn the state blue. We fought hard but we didn’t have a lot of attention on us and we didn’t have a lot of resources. On Election Night, despite the heartbreaking loss, it felt like a beginning not an end because of the commitment of the volunteers, activists and organizers who cared about their state. We knew there would be more hard work ahead of us and we would need more help.
I’ve shared that story with Joe as we have been meeting about expanding Groundwork’s efforts to support local community organizing efforts to some key states over the next few months. I can’t wait to share all the details with you, but we need a few more weeks to put the finishing touches on our plan.
In the meantime, contribute now so that we have the resources to effectively fund and plan our national expansion. [[link removed]]
I’m excited to be a part of Groundwork because organizing is my passion. We know how much work there is ahead of us. And we’re eager to jump in, expand our strategic plan and make a bigger impact!

Looking forward to getting to know you better. Thank you for letting me share my story and for your support!
More soon,
Tracey
Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
