The news from our southern border gets worse every day. Children as young as four months are being denied access to showers and soap. Adults are forced into standing-room-only conditions for a week straight. Children are dying without medical attention from ordinary cases of the flu.

Many of these families reaching the border are fleeing violence and extreme inequality in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, a region known as the Northern Triangle.

We've seen a major spike this year in the number of people fleeing the Northern Triangle in search of safety. We can't turn our back on those who urgently need our help.
