Friend, I have to ask: Are you concerned about toxic pesticides on produce like apples, broccoli and potatoes sold in your local grocery store?

If so, please add your name to EWG’s petition urging food retailers to take action against toxic pesticides. We need to collect 50,000 signatures before May 21, and right now, we’re only 39% of the way there.

The CDC released alarming new numbers recently that signal exposure to the toxic pesticides known as neonics is far more widespread than previously estimated.

These bee-killing chemicals have been found in 50% of kids ages 3 to 5 years old in the U.S.! Although the research is ongoing, we already know that neonics may be linked to nervous system and brain development damage in young children.

The EU has banned four of these harmful chemicals, but in the U.S., Big Ag continues to dump 4 million pounds of neonics on American farmland each year. It’s clear we need retailers to step up and take action to stop pesticide companies from lining their pockets at the expense of our health and our environment.

We still need 30,533 signatures on our petition telling grocery stores to stop selling produce contaminated with neonics, but you haven’t added your name yet. Please, we are counting on you!
