Jack --
On Tuesday, the House passed the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act, a bill aimed at addressing hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). This historic legislation, introduced in April by Sen. Mazie Hirono (HI) and Rep. Grace Meng (NY), was drafted in response to the alarming increase in attacks against the AAPI community since the start of the pandemic. Already approved by the Senate, the bill now makes its way to President Biden’s desk for his signature.
In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, GiveGreen is highlighting this critical work that Sen. Hirono, Rep. Meng, and the many other incredible climate leaders are championing in Congress and state houses across the country.
Can you help support these incredible AAPI candidates?
Today and every day, we celebrate the legacies of AAPI leaders in our nation’s history. Join us in uplifting the AAPI advocates working to uproot injustice and effect change today.
Thank you for standing with the incredible AAPI leaders who are paving the way to create a safe and equitable future for all.
In solidarity,
Team GiveGreen
