John,

In its final hours, the Trump administration prioritized executing as many Americans as possible. The federal government executed more than three times as many people in Trump's last six months as it had in the last 60 years combined.

Now, Rep. Ayanna Pressley is fighting to make sure this never happens again by introducing legislation to abolish the death penalty at the federal level, fiercely defending her position that “this is about people's lives, not just policy … social problems don't go to jail, human beings do.”

Rep. Pressley has the support of over 90 members of Congress, including one Republican, who know that rushing to execute Americans is not justice.

We're proud to stand with Rep. Ayanna Pressley in denouncing state-sanctioned murder, but as we think of legislative solutions to this issue, it's important we know where supporters like you stand. Please, tell us:

Do you support abolishing the death penalty?

YES   NO

Thank you for providing your input as we work to strengthen our democracy and support the progressive women bringing change to Washington.

Our work would be impossible without you.
