The Equal Rights Amendment to the United States Constitution is long overdue. After the 38th and final state, Virginia, ratified the ERA, the Trump administration blocked recognition of the amendment. Almost immediately, AG Ford took action.

Attorney General Ford and the Attorneys General from Illinois and Virginia are fighting in court to get this amendment officially ratified. The importance of equal rights being enshrined in our Constitution cannot be understated. Guaranteeing equal rights for all people regardless of sex or gender will bring the United States into the 21st century.
