Affordable Homeownership Opportunity Info Session Today
You are invited to an info session for an affordable homeownership opportunity at 1402 York Ave on the Upper East Side.
Today Wednesday, May 19th at 6pm the NYC Housing Partnership and my office will host a virtual info session on how to apply for a chance to own one of ten newly constructed cooperative apartments for households who qualify making 63% of the AMI.
The deadline to apply for an opportunity to buy one of these units is June 29th.

Lottery for Section 8 Housing Waitlist Is Open Now
15,000 new slots will be opening on the waitlist for New York City Section 8 vouchers. It has been over ten years since this waiting list was last opened.
Applications are being accepted now and will be accepted through May 28, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
Applicants must apply using the online portal. Paper applications submitted by mail or in person will NOT BE ACCEPTED. ?
Home Community Renewal will select 15,000 households for the waitlist through a lottery.
This waiting list is for rental assistance in Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, and Richmond County, New York.
Those selected for the waitlist will be offered a voucher as one becomes available, and will be subject to additional eligibility screening.

The maximum income limits for each household size are as follows:
1 Person $41,800 | 6 Persons $69,200
2 Persons $47,750 | 7 Persons $74,000
3 Persons $53,700 | 8 Persons $78,750

5 Persons $64,450 | 10 Persons $84,286
The waiting list does have preferences defined as homeless, elderly and/or Disabled (as defined by HUD) or families with dependent children.
