First: The New York Times broke the news that one of Matt Gaetz's close confidants, Joel Greenberg, was being investigated for violating federal sex-trafficking laws and that the scope of the investigation had expanded to include Gaetz.

Then: Greenberg pled guilty to six federal charges as part of a plea deal that will require him to help Merrick Garland's Justice Department investigate Matt Gaetz's involvement in the sex-trafficking schemes.

Now: Gaetz's complicity in Greenberg's scheme is making it look more and more likely that he will be charged by the Justice Department and be forced to resign from his seat. Greenberg's own lawyer, Fritz Scheller, had this to say about Gaetz's prospects: “I am sure Matt Gaetz is not feeling very comfortable today.”

Let's make him even more uncomfortable. We're going to make sure that whatever far-right replacement the GOP's dark money machine picks will have to go up against a Democrat with the full weight of our grassroots army behind them.
