Today the House is voting on whether to establish a January 6th commission to get to the bottom of what happened that day and how to never let it happen again.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy is now saying he doesn’t support the January 6th commission, once again siding with the most extreme factions of his party.

Republicans like Congressman Andrew Clyde are downplaying what happened, calling the insurrection a “normal tourist visit” and Marjorie Taylor Greene is saying the people who invaded the capitol are “being abused.”

The truth is, the threats posed to our country from January 6th still remain. And we must vote to establish a January 6th commission so that we can make sure such a disgusting attack on our democracy like this never happens again.
