“THE REDISTRICTING CYCLE IS ABOUT TO BEGIN” || 🚨 WE NEED YOU IN THIS FIGHT 🚨

Get ready... Get Set… GO!

Politico just rang the bell on the redistricting process. They said this is the beginning of “the most chaotic year in congressional politics.”

Now, with apportionment in the rearview mirror, we move on to the next phase of redistricting and know where to focus to combat unfair gerrymandering. Conservatives are working overtime to prevent a fair redistricting process both in the states and at the federal level.

Here’s a recap of how partisan politicians have been pushing back against our work to achieve fair maps:

• Former Vice President Mike Pence published an op-ed in a conservative blog spreading falsehoods about the For the People Act, a popular bill with anti-gerrymandering provisions.

• Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell pledged to obstruct the For the People Act and said “I’m going to do everything I can and my colleagues are going to do everything we can to prevent it.”

• Two of the most extreme members of Congress, Majorie Taylor Greene and Madison Cawthorn, are falling in line with McConnell’s directives. They have been tag-teaming a smear campaign to mischaracterize the For the People Act.

We need to combat the onslaught of attempts by conservatives to undermine our democracy NOW -- before it’s too late. Will you pitch in and help us prepare for “the most chaotic year in congressional politics?”
