John, I've never been afraid to
say this, because it's true:

The minimum wage is shitty. Nobody can live on just $7.25 an hour. And
nobody should.

That's a biiiiiig reason why I'm proud to stand in solidarity with the
thousands of courageous McDonald's workers who are striking today to
demand the fair wages they deserve.

We must raise the national minimum wage to at least $15 an hour. But
that's the floor, not the ceiling,
John. I believe we must go further to empower
our nation's workers by passing the PRO Act.

For generations, gigantic corporations like McDonald's have fought tooth
and nail to roll back the rights of workers and blunt the power of unions.
Meanwhile, CEOs and shareholders keep getting richer off the backs of
working people.

That can finally end with the PRO Act. Add your name if you're with me. 👇

[ [link removed] ]Add your name right now if you agree that it is past time to pass the
PRO Act to protect workers' and union rights. The House has already passed
this bold legislation to protect workers' rights, and now it's time for
the Senate to act.

I am so proud of the brave fast food workers who are striking today. Their
courage in the face of McDonald's, who pulled in nearly $5 billion in
profit and paid out almost all of that to shareholders in 2020, is
unmatched. These frontline workers deserve a fair wage — and they deserve
to be protected by bold, pro-union legislation like the PRO Act.

If I were in the Senate representing Pennsylvania right now, you can bet
that I'd be a strong YES vote for raising the wage and passing the PRO
Act. But working families can't afford to wait any longer.

From fighting for a national minimum wage that's *at least* $15 an hour,
to advocating for safe, fair, and equitable working conditions, protecting
the power of America's workers has never been more important.

So I'm asking you to join me: [ [link removed] ]Tell the Senate to pass the PRO Act. It's
time to put power into the hands of workers and expand the union way of
life.

In solidarity, ✊

John

John Fetterman
Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania

P.S. My commitment to passing a $15 minimum wage and protecting the union
way of life is absolute — even if it puts me at odds with my own party,
and no matter how it polls. [ [link removed] ]Please add your name next to mine today:
It's time to empower America's workers by passing the PRO Act.
