The day after Christmas, the Democrats in the Massachusetts Legislature used their veto-proof majorities in both branches to ram through a law that cancels the state statute mandating lifesaving care for all newborns, and strips the rights of parents to be involved in their own child’s decision related to an abortion.
While that day may have marked a new low for Massachusetts, there is still something that people can do about it, and that’s why I’m writing to you today.
We have crafted a plan to put both of these radical policies before voters in 2022 by way of a ballot initiative, but to get there, we need help, and that’s where you can make a difference.
We are preparing a statewide signature canvassing effort, and are actively recruiting volunteers.
