Earlier this year, I traveled to our southern border to see the REAL state of affairs there, not just the pro-Biden spin in the liberal media.
What I saw – evidence of illegal crossings, horror stories of smuggling and human trafficking, and listening directly to the border patrol who see it every day – strengthened my resolve and my work in Congress.
Just this week, I reintroduced important legislation that would ban federal funding to any state or local government that refuses to cooperate with immigration authorities.

Our job is to keep America safe.
"Sanctuary" cities and states are a public-safety issue, which we've learned all too well in the past few years.
- Americans have died as a direct result of criminal illegal immigrants allowed to remain, including murders, gang violence from MS-13, and out-of-control drug violence.
- The Biden Administration's open-borders policy has put out the red carpet to consequence-free illegal immigration... so why would any other law be a deterrent?
- And since President Biden took over, illegal border crossings have skyrocketed.
