Dear John,
A recent post-election survey by renown Christian pollster, Dr. George Barna, revealed troubling numbers.
His polling found that the majority of those who voted for President Joe Biden were less likely to have a biblical worldview. And 75 percent of the president's base thinks there is no absolute moral truth.
Barna responded to the findings, saying, "The more the United States puts distance between itself and its moral and spiritual moorings, the less likely we are to have an effective, vibrant government and a healthy and vibrant way of life."
This message rings all too true as American institutions succumb to moral degradation, including public schools.
California recently demonstrated how far they would go to not only reject a Christian worldview but replace it with what looks like idol worship, encouraging chants and prayers to Aztec gods!
In a proposed Ethnic Studies curriculum by the California Department of Education, the 900-page curriculum advocates for the "decolonization" of America. But even more concerning, the curriculum teaches that Christian settlers committed "theocide" against Native Americans by "murdering" their gods and replacing them with the Christian God. To reverse this wrong, students were encouraged to cry out with prescribed words to Aztec gods.
Today, prayer in public schools is severely restricted. Yet, chanting and meditation to pagan idols is encouraged!
This is not about ethnic studies; it's about indoctrination to reject our Judeo-Christian foundation. You can almost guarantee that it will be coming to a school near you if it has already begun in California.
The radical Left is intentional about targeting schools to undermine biblical values. We must push back against this secular, anti-Christian agenda.

Unfortunately, even Christian institutions are not off-limits to pervasive liberal indoctrination.
A stunning report by Students for Life found that the abortion giant Planned Parenthood has ties to 25 religious colleges and universities. These Christian campuses refer students to Planned Parenthood, advertise their jobs and internships, place them on their medical school rotations, and host student events in conjunction with Planned Parenthood.
Just when Christian parents think their children might be safe from aggressive ideological indoctrination, they find it creeping into purportedly Bible-believing colleges.
So how do we advance a biblical vision for human flourishing in a culture that appears to be on a downward spiral from its Christian heritage?
We start with the Word of God!
We can't stand for biblical truth if we don't know what it is. It's critical to understand what the Bible says and how to stand upon it.
When we stand on biblical truth, we help build a culture where:
- Every child is welcomed into life, with families and mothers in crisis surrounded by ministries helping them thrive,
- Believers are free to live according to biblical values and share their faith in public without fear of being punished,
- Families take ownership in their children's education--including through homeschooling or with oversight of their curriculum,
- Students are educated with facts, our Constitution, and critical thinking skills instead of being indoctrinated with material from LGBT activists containing an anti-Christian and anti-American bias.
Isaiah 55:11 reminds us that God's Word "shall not return to me void" but transforms lives, strengthens families and communities, and challenges the culture to turn back to God.
At Family Research Council, we are uniquely situated in our nation's capital to be a beacon of light that stands on the truth of God's Word and equips families like yours to influence the culture with a biblical perspective.
Last year, FRC began Stand on the Word, a two-year chronological Bible reading plan with daily readings that take us on a journey through the Bible.
Please join us in this Bible devotional and commit to studying with us. Also, please help us build this prevailing culture with a financial gift that will enable us to continue strengthening Christians with resources like Stand on the Word.
We cannot lose ground to the radical Left's anti-God, anti-biblical agenda. Will you help support a counter, God-honoring vision for America?
Our hope is built and sustained on the Word of God. Let us pray together for our nation.
