The attack on voting rights in Arizona has reached a fever pitch.

The “audit” of the results of the 2020 election being carried out by the state’s Republican-led legislature is so outrageously unfounded — and so poorly run — that GOP officials in Arizona’s largest county just called it a “SHAM.”

But that’s not all. Just last week, Republican Governor Doug Ducey signed new voting restrictions into law that could kick tens of thousands of people off the permanent early-vote-by-mail list.

The “sham” audit and new voting restrictions are part of an all-out effort by Trump allies and dark money groups to try to make sure Democrats stop winning elections in Arizona. The only way to do this is to prevent people from exercising their right to vote.

And, make no mistake, this is part of a well-organized plan to bring Trump and Trumpism back. We need to be ready to mobilize folks to the polls in 2022 to protect our critical Democratic majority and organize for the future.
