Dear John, As you have no doubt heard, President Biden and congressional Democrats are racing to pass a radical, wasteful, and completely partisan “infrastructure” scheme, most of which has nothing to do with roads, bridges, and tunnels. Tell your U.S. Senators and Representatives to oppose Biden’s wasteful “infrastructure” plan. John, if Biden’s $4 TRILLION infrastructure package becomes law, it will stand as the largest expansion of the federal government’s size and power in American history. Hundreds of billions of dollars in Biden’s infrastructure scheme would be used to pay for handouts to big labor unions, to implement the Green New Deal, and to fund a huge wish list of Socialist programs and policies. It would even redefine “infrastructure” to include childcare and senior living facilities, among others. Contact your elected officials and demand they reject Biden’s “infrastructure” scam. Americans cannot afford trillions of dollars in new spending after more $5.7 trillion has been spent over the past year for “relief” from the COVID-19 pandemic. If Biden’s infrastructure plan clears Congress, spending over the past year would total more than $11 TRILLION – more than 2.5 times the amount spent by the federal government in the year before the pandemic. This new spending would be paid for with a $4 trillion tax hike on American families, which would be the largest since 1968, and through even more deficit spending. The Trump tax cuts that allowed our economy to grow and be globally competitive would be rolled back, and the increased deficit spending would risk severe inflation and saddle future generations of Americans with debt. If President Biden insists on addressing infrastructure, he must make it bipartisan, agree to pay for it without tax increases and deficit spending, and include only traditional infrastructure priorities like roads and bridges.
