McCarthy says that he will not support bipartisan deal for Jan. 6 commission - The Hill

The most powerful House Republican is not only against the bipartisan January 6th commission, he is now forcing other members to vote against it. We need to make sure every Republican who does not support this bipartisan commission needs to find a new job.

McCarthy believes that Republicans will take back the House next year. And if he continues to please Trump, he will be the next Speaker of the House. As things stand, a Republican landline in 2022 is becoming more likely. Democrats are simply not investing in the key to winning elections: grassroots organizing.

So, I am asking you, please donate $25 and invest in our grassroots organizing program to make sure this spineless Trump crony does not become the next Speaker of the House

There are two reasons why McCarthy came out against the commission.

First, because Trump allied dark money groups scared him and his caucus into doing this.

Second, because he is scared of having to answer questions about his conversations under oath with Donald Trump during the insurrection.

The insurrection happened because Trump didn’t like that young people and people of color voted by mail in unprecedented numbers, so he claimed fraud. They are now doing everything they can to prevent these voters from coming out again. We are working to make sure they fail. The only way they lose is if we organizing early and often. So that’s why we are counting on your donation.

Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $39 so consider donating that today to support voting rights: [link removed]
