More than 500 new abortion restrictions have been introduced in state legislatures this year alone - many of them are designed to shame, pressure and punish women's health decisions.

This week, Texas Gov. Abbott is expected to sign into law one of the most extreme proposals in the country - it would ban abortion after approximately six weeks, before many people know they're pregnant. To enforce this ban, the legislation would allow anyone to sue abortion providers or any person who helps someone obtain an abortion - even rideshare drivers who pick up patients from health centers after their abortions could be sued.
