John,
Across the country, a people's movement to elect candidates who will fight for racial justice and against police brutality has taken hold. But police unions — and their deep pockets — are trying everything they can to stop us.
In Philadelphia, the Fraternal Order of Police is going all out to defeat PA WFP champion Larry Krasner, who has put in place policies to take on mass incarceration, police brutality, and racist sentencing and prosecution.
In New Mexico, Republicans are attacking Melanie Stansbury, the NM WFP-endorsed candidate in the special Congressional election in NM-01, and telling blatant lies about her record of championing meaningful criminal justice reform.
And in New York, police unions are lining up behind Tahanie Aboushi's "law and order" opponent in the Manhattan District Attorney's race because of Tahanie's work to fundamentally transform the criminal legal system.
Police unions and their allies are spending millions of dollars attacking WFP candidates in races like these — and gearing up to spend millions more — because they are desperate to uphold the unjust status quo. But we are fighting back with people power to elect candidates who will reimagine a criminal justice system that is just and fair. Can you contribute $5 to help WFP candidates and organizers fight back against these attacks?

Police unions often do everything in their power to make sure violent and racist law enforcement officers are let off the hook. That includes launching disparaging attacks on candidates who will actually hold the police accountable. If we want real public safety, then we need to elect WFP champions who will refuse money from special interests like police unions, and instead look to and work with our communities to define justice.
We've proven that when we come together, our movement can take on the police union attacks and elect candidates who will reimagine public safety and ensure true justice for all. With critical elections like these coming up over the next few weeks, we have a chance to prove it again.
Make a contribution of $5 or more to help WFP candidates and organizers fight back against these attacks.
In solidarity,
The Working Families Party
