The idea of a fun fact is that it’s something you probably didn’t know before.
Maybe it’s something interesting, niche, or incredibly random. Most of the time
it’s supposed to be a good surprise. Well, here’s a fact that isn’t so fun and
probably won’t surprise you:Montana has the slowest internet speed in the
United States.

Democrats want to change that by passing the American Jobs Plan to overhaul
American infrastructure and provide rural broadband access. Add your name to
our petition to let Congress know you want them to PASS the American Jobs plan
to improve Montana’s rural broadband.

As we’re sure you’re aware, slow internet speeds mean working from home is
more difficult, social media is less functional, and streaming services are
easily disrupted. Long story short: you can’t get on your Zoom meeting for
work, scrolling on Twitter is more difficult, and Netflix doesn’t work for you
to binge.

All the states that came in the bottom 10% of internet speeds had one thing in
common:vast swathes of rural communities and a lack of high-speed broadband.

We cannot afford to be left behind in the digital age. We need Congress to
fund more rural broadband to help working Montanans. If you agree, sign onto
