We’re down to the final TWO WEEKS before New Mexico’s special House election. On June 1, Democrat Melanie Stansbury will compete in one of the first and most closely watched special elections of the Biden administration. She’s counting on our support!
When President Biden nominated Deb Haaland to be Secretary of the Interior, she had to vacate her House seat. Now, Melanie is ready to keep her district blue and carry on Sec. Haaland’s legacy.
Melanie’s an experienced state house representative who follows the science and delivers results for her community. Her underdog campaign built a huge coalition to beat the odds and earn the Democratic nomination.
But the last time NM-01 had a special election, a Republican won. That’s because compared to general elections, voters in special elections tend to be more conservative.
