There's almost no statewide seat in Florida that the GOP doesn't hold. And we've seen what that means for Floridians: Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Marco Rubio choose the most extreme elements of their party over Floridians.

I've learned well from working closely with the congresswoman that when you’re in public office – when people trust you to be their voice – you work for them. That's not happening statewide in Florida – and it's why she is seriously considering a statewide run.

House Democrats are passing bold legislation left and right – and we're determined to get more done to move our country forward and build back better.

Just a little over three months into the congressional term, here's what our House majority has passed, what you've helped accomplish: H.R. 1 to protect and expand voting rights, the Equality Act, two bills expanding background checks, the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act – and, importantly, the American Rescue Plan, which sent direct stimulus checks to Americans and ramped up COVID testing and vaccinations.

But here's what I want you to remember most of all: We're not even close to being finished.

There's a lot of work to do, and House Democrats aren't slowing down for a second, friend. But when it comes to acting on the issues that are most important, I rely on the input of this grassroots team.
