Thanks to our members, we continue to chip away at the war on marijuana. In the past two months alone, New York, New Mexico, and Virginia all legalized marijuana for adult use, with Virginia making history as the first state in the South to do so.
But marijuana legalization alone is not enough. Prohibition has ruined lives and disproportionately devastated Black, Brown, and low-income communities. That’s why community reinvestment, social equity, and justice must be at the core of any marijuana reform.
