Hey,

Even in 2021, in the middle of a pandemic, millions of Americans can still face discrimination simply because they're gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or queer.

Two years ago, the House passed a bill to finally change that. I was proud to cosponsor the Equality Act in the Senate, but Republicans denied us the opportunity to vote on this long overdue bill at that time.

Now, as a new wave of anti-LGBTQ+ bills are sweeping through state legislatures across the nation, enacting federal pro-equality legislation is vital. We need to keep the pressure on.

It's time for federal legislation to end discrimination against LGBTQ+ Americans. Show you're standing with me by adding your name. [[link removed]]

We shouldn't have to wait for the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans to be litigated in state after state or court after court -- we can pass a federal law that explicitly bans discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

As we work every day to provide relief and create jobs during the coronavirus crisis, it's important to also keep the drum beating for equality.

You can help provide the momentum to ensure that LGBTQ+ Americans no longer face the threat of discrimination against them for coming out and living as they are.

Add your name now and say: "It's time to end discrimination against LGBTQ+ Americans." [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Team Casey
