5 Ways the World Bank’s Climate Action Plan Could Go Further 

Droughts are more frequent, and when the rain comes, water floods through fields and into homes. This is life in the Gran Chaco region, which stretches from Argentina through portions of Paraguay and into Bolivia. In recent years, local people have organized to prepare for their new climate reality. One solution is a crowd-sourced early warning system for flooding. Read more.

With Billions of Lives at Stake, Here’s What Needs to Happen at COP26 

Poor people in highly vulnerable countries did little to disrupt the climate but are suffering the most. If the world doesn’t limit global warming to 1.5 degrees C above pre-industrial levels, low-income countries will face devastating – and wildly disproportionate – consequences.
