I wanted to make sure you saw the news, friend.
When Senate Republicans rushed to confirm anti-choice Justice Amy Coney Barrett last October, we worried about the future of Roe v. Wade. And yesterday, news broke that the Supreme Court of the United States will be hearing a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade when they hear Mississippi's restrictive abortion ban.
This is about reproductive justice. It's critical that we preserve reproductive rights that have been protected under the constitution since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.
Listen, I want to be clear: I have always been guided by the key principle that decisions about health care are best made by a patient in consultation with their doctors. These deeply personal decisions should not be interfered with or replaced by the judgment of politicians.
SCOTUS's ruling for this case could have a devastating impact on reproductive justice. So, we have to take action now. Will you reaffirm your support for Roe v. Wade? Please add your name next to mine.

People have counted on Roe's legal protections for decades. It's critical that we remain vigilant by opposing any proposals that would limit care options for women or threaten people's health and even lives.
No matter what happens at the judicial level, we need pro-choice champions in Congress. It's why I will keep fighting to elect more pro-choice Democratic lawmakers who will fight by my side to make sure women have access to the care they need -- no matter who they are or where they live.
Reproductive care is health care. Add your name next to mine to reaffirm your support for Roe v. Wade.
