Dear John,
Aquariums have now officially reopened to the public.

And with this reopening, animal exploitation and suffering continues.

- Did you know that the vast majority of animals in aquariums have been taken from the wild?

- Did you know that fish, turtles, rays and other animals all express stereotypic behaviours in captivity, which is a sign of mental distress?

- Did you know that mortality rates of animals in aquariums are exceptionally high?

Animals that are held captive in aquariums are exploited in the name of human entertainment.

That is why I am asking you to make a promise today to never visit a cruel aquarium. The more people who sign our pledge the stronger a message we can spread that animals do not belong in tanks!
Yes! I pledge to never visit an aquarium ([link removed])

Because:
* Animals are not objects for entertainment, they are individuals with lives of their own
* Animals should not be taken from the wild to live in aquariums
* A tank is nothing like the seas these animals should be living in and therefore can never meet their needs
* Animals in aquariums suffer in captivity
* I believe all animals should be living wild and free!

Animals in aquariums are more than just objects to look at behind the glass. Each one of them is an individual who can think, feel and experience.

Not visiting aquariums and not giving them your money is just one action you can take to help animals, but a really important one! So please take the pledge today. ([link removed])

For the animals,

Sam Threadgill
Director
Freedom for Animals

P.S. Please add you voice to the campaign to end aquarium cruelty, by signing our pledge today. Thank you. ([link removed])
