Electing Ce-Ce Gerlach as the next mayor of Allentown will be a giant step forward for our movement and give more power to more people. - Ashleigh Strange, Regional Organizer for Lehigh Valley Stands Up
John,
If I could express the overwhelming feeling I'm experiencing on the evening before the primary election, I could sum it up in one word: gratitude.
For you. For the thousands of others supporting my campaign one way or another — making phone calls, text banking, knocking on doors, sharing our messages on social media, making a campaign contribution, providing words of encouragement, and of course — voting. I'm humbled and in awe of what we can accomplish when we work together. Thank you — truly.
No matter what happens tomorrow, there is so much I am proud of. If I win or lose, I'll know I did so with integrity and authenticity. I'll know that even in the face of adversity I stuck to my principles. I'll know that my message has always focused on what I can do, not on attempts to tear down my opponents.
And I'll know that there are thousands of like-minded people out there that are going to change this city for the better. This entire race you have believed in me. If I haven't made it clear, know that I believe in you, wholeheartedly. Now, I have one last ask to make of you before the primary is over...
Whether you're in Allentown or not, you can help by spreading the word to your friends in Allentown to get out there and vote!
Here's a graphic and sample message to share on your social media tomorrow (Tuesday):
ALLENTOWN FRIENDS: Today is a local primary election. In Allentown, the city votes overwhelmingly for Democrats, so the Democratic candidate that wins the primary is almost certain to become the next mayor of Allentown. Ce-Ce Gerlach is a bold, progressive candidate that will fight for working families and put people over politics.
But we only win elections when we show up. So, we need you to SHOW UP and vote for Ce-Ce. The polls are open from 7am to 8pm. If you're not sure where your polling place is, you can look that up at votespa.com.
Lastly, if you're in Allentown — get out there and vote. Elections have been close before, and this one will be especially close. We can't win this without you. If you aren't sure where your polling place is, you can find out by entering your address here.
Thanks for being with me, |
