Climate change isn’t a distant threat, folks. It’s a crisis that is already impacting us today.

We must take urgent action to combat climate change. This means transitioning to a clean-energy economy now.

To make this transition at the speed it requires, we also must support the states, counties, and tribal governments that have historically produced fossil fuels.

That’s why I’m proud to bring forward the Schools and State Budgets Certainty Act. This legislation will help balance our government and education budgets so we can make the right investments in new, sustainable growth opportunities.
