The Supreme Court is taking up a Mississippi 15-week abortion court case that could overturn both Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. John, I am alarmed that the Supreme Court has agreed to review this ban. The Mississippi case unquestionably violates 50 years of Supreme Court precedent. There is no way to uphold this ban without overturning Roe. We must make it very clear: every pregnant person has the right to decide what to do with their own bodies.
We are in this fight for the long-haul. And we know that it will take time, dedication and resources to protect safe, legal abortion.
